LSA Chemistry Technical Services
Services that are offered by LSA Chemistry Technical Services include mass spectrometry, atomic absorption analysis, and X-ray crystallography. Glassblowing, machine, and electronics shops repair and fabricate scientific equipment that is not available commercially.
U-M Conference & Event Services
U-M Conference & Event Services (at 734.764.8837 or conferences@umich.edu) provides support and services (including audiovisual equipment rental) for special events, meetings, student meetings & events, weddings, and summer programs taking place at the Michigan Union, the Michigan League, or Pierpoint Commons (fees may apply). Art, Architecture & Engineering Library Reserves Desk
For checkout: laptop locks, markers/erasers, calculators, film/slide holders, Wacom graphics pens, Leap Motion controller, DMC -iLok, locker keys, headphones, drawing sets, calipers, rulers, lightbox, stopwatch, small microfiche reader, sound meters. Other equipment is available with a faculty request. Students can have a faculty member submit a request on their behalf in order to reserve the following: video camera kit, still camera kit, tripod and light kit.

Digital Media Commons
State-of-the-art, staffed digital multimedia and virtual reality lab; Media consultants offer training and orientation courses in the following areas: podcasting, multimedia workrooms/recording booth, electronic music studio, audio studio training, video editing software, etc.)
Groundworks Media Lab
Facility supporting the production, conversion and editing of digital and analog media; not for rental; on-site equipment use only. Also supplies various software tutorials, digital audio recording booth and large format poster printing (fees may apply).
3D LAB
Interdisciplinary service facility, provides the University of Michigan community access to tools, expertise, and collaborative opportunities needed to support cutting edge research, academic initiatives, and innovative uses of technology in the general areas of: Teaching and Learning, Visualization and Simulation, 3D Printing and Scanning, Motion Capture, Modeling, Animation, and Design, Custom Tool and Application Development.
Conference Rooms
These rooms are fully equipped for videoconferencing and can be reserved upon filling out this form.
Imageworks
Imageworks' physical collection includes over 3,000 DVDs, VHS tapes, and CD-ROMs; more than 100,000 35mm slides; and numerous blueprints and maps. For more information contact imageworks@umich.edu or view their research guide.
Duderstadt Checkout Center
Located on the second floor at the circulation desk. Checkout Canon Vixia, Canon T6i, Digital Audio recording kit with Sennheiser Lavalier, Manfrotto 7301YB tripod, and Lowel Rifa eX44 lighting kit. Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design: Equipment Checkout Office (ECHO)
Provides Stamps students, faculty, and staff with a wide variety of resources at no cost to the user. Focuses primarily on offering audio/visual equipment, but also provides a range of drawing and animation tools and access to the Photo Studio.

The Donald Hall Collection
Video, film and script library under Screen Arts and Cultures. Only screenplays are available for university-wide checkout, but all titles can be screened in-house at various viewing stations.
Askwith Media Library
The Askwith Media Library maintains a collection of over 25,000 titles, including feature films, documentaries, animated films, and instructional programs. Formats include DVDs, ½" and ¾" videotapes, 16 mm films, CD-ROMS, audio cassettes, audio CDs, and laserdiscs.
Language Resource Center (LRC)
Multimedia for language learning; Instructional Support Services provides technical assistance for MLB classrooms; all equipment loan requests for those teaching in the MLB go through the LRC.
Services: video conferencing, audio/video recording, duplication and conversion, workshops.
For checkout: recorders, camcorders, CD Players, computer/ projection carts, DVD/VCR, overhead projectors, slide projectors.
Law School Audiovisual Equipment and Services
For Law students and faculty only; other students and faculty may request access to services although these are less prioritized and done in a very limited capacity. All reservations made using online work request system.
LSA Technology Services
Provides services to all LSA students and classes held in LSA centrally scheduled classrooms; comprehensive equipment check-out and deliveries; immediate and pre-arranged technical assistance for LSA owned classrooms; consultants available for developing concepts, knowledge content and deployment of instructional technology in the classroom.

Media Center
Serves all LSA students, faculty, and staff — not just Screen Arts and Cultures. Student requests must be in conjunction with a specific LSA class and may require faculty or department verification. Semi-professional and professional video production equipment and post-production editing facilities. Project consultation available.
Desktop Support
LSA's computer repair and support. They also offer a limited supply of loaner technology including laptops and video projectors. Priority is given to loan equipment required for classroom use.
ITS Campus Computing Sites
Provide various computing sites to U-M staff and students. There are three types of workstations in Campus Computing Sites: a full-use Windows workstation, a full-use Macintosh workstation, and a limited-use cyber station. The cyber stations are primarily only loaded with software that allow for Internet and email access. A few cyber station locations also have Microsoft Office available. A full list of all 21 locations can be found here. Consulting staff is only available through the Angell Hall location.
LSA Science Learning Center (SLC)
The SLC is sponsored by the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts to support teaching and learning in the natural sciences. The SLC houses computer labs, meeting alcoves, study space and a loan desk for reserve and study materials."

Help Desk
Equipment is only free for Business students and staff; troubleshooting during class, assistance w/ learning to use equipment, software evaluation and installation in classrooms and labs, laptop and software support, equipment loan, digital multimedia services, and print and presentation.
iMpact Equipment Reservation
Students and staff of the Ross School of Business are able to rent equipment via an online portal, or by visiting the technology desk in the Ross Winter Garden. Students must be members to gain login access.
Services for Students with Disabilities
Equipment available for loan for individuals who coordinate with SSD. Items available for loan include: FM amplification system, Portable Transmitters, Four-track cassette recorders, Talking calculators, Raised line drawing kit, Brailled information, Assistive Learning Devices, Laptops for test taking.
School of Education (SOE) Technology Services
For SOE affiliates only; Informational Resources and Instructional Support (IRIS), hardware/software, IT account support, network services, and desktop/computer support.
SOE Media Services provides equipment for the express use of the School of Education community. This means that all SOE staff, faculty, and any U-M student taking at least one class in the School of Education may use our equipment. SOE Media Services provides a wide range of audio/visual recording and conferencing equipment.
