Issue
Video camera is not working in Zoom
Resolution
- Make sure the camera is not being physically blocked/covered by an anti spy cover device.
- Please check all of your video settings in Zoom by going into the Zoom Desktop App (NOT zoom.umich.edu).
- If this does not work, troubleshooting tips for each operating system can be found by navigating to Troubleshooting Issues with Zoom video crashing or freezing.
- Restart the computer.
- Uninstall and then reinstall the Zoom Desktop App. Info can be found here: https://documentation.its.umich.edu/zoom-install
- If none of these work, your antivirus software may be blocking camera access.
- You may need to create a rule/exception for your antivirus program to allow an exception for Zoom. (This is generally on a personally owned computer).

- If the above does not fix the issue, the ticket needs to go to your Desktop Support. They will need to update the video/audio drivers on the computer and do any other hands on troubleshooting.
