Kaltura - Download Your Kaltura Videos

Enable Downloads

In order to download a Kaltura video, you must first enable downloads for it.

  1. Go to My Media in Canvas.
  2. Click the pencil icon to the right of the video you want to share.
    An example entry on the My Media page with the edit icon indicated to the right.
  3. On the next screen, click the Downloads tab below the video.
  4. You will see a list of available formats. Check the box next to Original Source, and click Save.

Downloads will then be available for the video.

Download a Video

Once downloads are enabled for a video, you can proceed with downloading the file.

  1. Go to My Media in Canvas.
  2. Click on the video you would like download.
  3. Below the video, click the Download tab.
  4. A list of available downloads will appear. Click the download icon in the actions column of the table to download the file.
